Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is a American political adviser who served as the 34th White House news secretary between 2021 and 222. A member of Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011), spokesperson for United States Department of State 2013-2015 and White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki was a CNN political commentator from 2017 to 2020. Psaki's career started in 2001 when she worked on behalf of the reelection campaigns for Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democrat running for the U.S. Senate. Psaki then became deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was in office from 2005 until 2006 as communications director to Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was the press secretary for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaigns. [20] On February 11, 2013, Psaki became the spokesperson for the United States Department of State. It was believed that she would replace Jay Carney as White House Press Secretary.[21But, Josh Earnest was announced to succeed Carney on May 30, 2014. She returned to the White House in 2015 to be the director of communications. She was a part of the Obama administration until its conclusion.
