Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19 1965. She is an American actor and producer. She is most famous for her character as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. The seventh season of the series ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) as well as Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother, who was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian origins. Sedgwick claims to be Jewish and says she goes to Passover seders.
